What we'll do
The Shewsy provides free delicious healthy food for all children who attend, prepared daily on site by our Level 3 qualified staff. We have a full programme over three days this May half term. Tuesday 26th May 12:00 Free play and and check-in 1:00 Lunch Football Tournament Warm-up games (tag, dribbling drills) Creative Breakout Activities Board games corner (Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, etc.) Garden Adventure: “Bug Safari & Nature BINGO” Nature bingo cards (spot leaves, bugs, flowers) Bug hunt with magnifying glasses Make a mini bug hotel from recycled items 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Snack & Group Reflection Home time. Wed 27th May 12:00 Free play and and check-in 1:00 Lunch Picture bingo for younger children, number bingo for older Mini “dance for a prize” breaks between rounds Garden Games & Green Art Choice of: Parachute games or sack races Leaf rubbing and natural painting (flowers, mud, leaves) Build a team garden sculpture using found materials 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Snack & Group Reflection Home time. Thur 28th May 12:00 Free play and and check-in 1:00 Lunch Creative Breakout Activities Board games corner (Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, etc.) Garden Games & Green Art Choice of: Parachute games or sack races Leaf rubbing and natural painting (flowers, mud, leaves) 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Snack & Celebration Circle Fruit snack/ ice lolly Group photo & goodbye

Shrewsbury House or The Shewsy
Where people matter more than things
Shrewsbury House is a Youth Club in Everton, Liverpool. Founded in 1903, we are known universally as the Shewsy. We are an open-access, full-time centre and run a full programme of activities each week of the year for the young people in our community.
Location
The Shewsy is a beautifully located Youth and Community Centre with amazing facilties on the door step. All within walking distance are the Everton Bike Library and Mini-Roads Cycle Track, the Everton Nature and Community Gardens, the Everton Skate Park and the Everton Park Swimming Baths.
Learning aims
Aim 1
We aim to help our children learn the importance of healthy eating and lifestyles. They learn where fresh fruit and vegetables come from with our friends from Food For Thought.
Aim 2
We aim to make sure that our children learning the importance of friendship by playing together in team sports and collaborating together in activities.
Aim 3
We aim to make sure that our children understand that being fit and physically active is fun and good for you.
