Crafting Cool Machines: Recycled materials + creativity = an awesome bottle rocket car! Let your imagination shine as you design, decorate, and launch your very own rocket-powered creation. Egg Drop Parachutes: Get ready for a fun Easter challenge! Decorate an Easter egg, then put your engineering skills to the test by designing and building a parachute to safely land your egg. About your mentor
Bloodhound Education Ltd
Inspiring a generation to study STEAM
Bloodhound Education is a charity which delivers hands-on science and engineering activities for schools, uniformed groups, after school and holiday clubs, and the local community. Our charity has 13-years experience delivering practical enrichment workshops engaging families of all ages including under-represented groups and those with complex health or special educational needs. Our workshops enrich the curriculum and make the link between classroom and careers using real engineering projects like Bloodhound Land Speed Record as an educational tool and to explore future sustainable engineering solutions and renewable technology.
Eligibility and food
For children living in South Gloucestershire: These sessions are fully funded for children eligible for benefit-related free school meals (usually £25 per child, per session). Adults attend for free. Our workshops are suitable for families with children aged 5 and up. Children under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult. What’s Included: Lunch provided for all children (special dietary requirements can be accommodated). Free coffee, tea, soft drinks, and fruit snacks available for all throughout the day. Adults should bring a packed lunch.
Learning aims
Aim 1
To be able to follow set instructions with help where needed. To develop focus and concentration. Build confidence and make new friends. Enhance persistence through improving personal designs.
Aim 2
Our activities are hands-on and lend themselves to children with special educational needs including autism and ADHD. We will have a colouring and craft for children who may need time out of a break from the main activities. A great way to try something new whilst having fun.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
