Class F&Q
1. What is The Art Lab? The Art Lab is a creative program for children aged 6–11 where they explore various art techniques, including painting, pastels, markers, and more. The class combines hands-on art-making with learning about famous artists and the fundamentals of design, helping kids create exciting, unique artwork. 2. What will my child learn in The Art Lab? Your child will: Experiment with different art mediums like paint, pastels, markers, and collage. Learn about famous artists and how their works can inspire creative projects. Understand the elements of art (like color, shape, and texture) and the principles of design (like balance, contrast, and unity). Build their creativity by creating personal artwork and developing their own artistic style. 3. Do children need prior art experience? No! The Art Lab is designed for all skill levels. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience in art, the class offers a supportive and fun environment where they can grow at their own pace. 4. What materials are provided? We provide all necessary materials, including paper, paints, pastels, markers, and other supplies. Children are welcome to bring their own materials, but everything needed for the class will be supplied. 5. How are the sessions structured? Each session is designed around a specific theme or artist, where children explore new techniques and create artwork related to that theme. There will be opportunities for guided instruction, individual creative work, and time to share and discuss their art with peers.
