About your mentor
The Parasol Project
Inclusive activities
The Parasol Project is an Oxford based charity established in 1991. We are committed to redressing the balance for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people experiencing, or at risk of, social exclusion. We achieve this by delivering inclusive, age appropriate, holiday activities for disabled and non disabled children (5-12yrs) and young people aged (13-18)
Registration
Parasol activities are designed to be accessible to ALL children and young people (disabled AND non-disabled) There is however a limit to how many disabled children with high level support needs that can be included on any given day. In order to ensure all children in our care are supported appropriately we have established a robust referral and registration process over our 20+ years of delivering inclusive services in Oxford city. We are unable to support children if this process has not been completed. As a result, including children with additional support needs can be a lengthy process. This is especially true if staff require training sign off from the community nursing team for child specific training. We are also heavily oversubscribed for places for children requiring 1:1 support around personal care. Since COVID we have had to implement a waiting list in response to the growth in demand for these places. Due to the relatively short lead in time for HAF provision it may not be possible to register a new child in time for the advertised holiday. If you would like to register your child for this or future holidays please contact playbase@parasolproject.org as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
