What we'll do
Join us at the fabulous Core building at St. Ives Community Orchard. From choosing the wood to finishing your spoon, your tutor will guide you through the techniques and tools needed to make your first spoon. You will learn how to create a spoon blank, rough out the shape using a bushcraft knife, then begin to make the spoon bowl with the specialist spoon gouge. Your tutor will help you to make the finishing touches to bring your spoon to life. All materials and tools are provided along with hot drinks and cake.
