What we'll do
Join us for a special family-friendly celebration designed for children and young people with SEND. We’re bringing the sparkle, the music, the crafts, and the fun – all you need to bring is your best dance moves! One of our trustees will be there to greet you on arrival and make sure you’re settled. Parents and carers must stay during the event, and can join in the fun too. Get ready to party with Noo Noo’s disco, packed full of music, dancing, and games to keep everyone smiling. Children and young people can enjoy arts and crafts, join in with friends, and make special memories in a safe, inclusive space. All children and young people will receive a packed lunch to keep their energy up for the celebrations. To top it all off, there’ll be plenty of laughter, fun, and maybe even a surprise or two to make the day extra magical! This event is the perfect way for families to come together – with joy, music, creativity, and community at the heart of it all.

About your mentor
The Sensory Place
The Sensory Place
About Us The Sensory Place is a parent-led organisation offering a network of support to families of children with all disabilities aged 0-25 years. We are all parents of a child or children with a disability and we felt that there were just not enough places to go or things to do when you have a child who has additional needs as mainstream activities are just not accessible for many different reasons. We also experienced judgement and isolation as other people do not always understand the difficulties families like ours face. We knew we weren't alone in thinking this and so The Sensory Place was born in 2019 with a view to changing this for the better. We are proud to say we achieved charity status in September 2021. Our charity registration number is 1195932. We offer courses based on the needs of our families, sensory friendly and accessible events designed with the whole family in mind as well as working with a variety of organisations, services and local authorities to make mainstream events accessible to all. We have an ambitious vision for what we want the charity to achieve and how we want families to be able to benefit. We are always looking for new and exciting activities, courses and things to do. Please feel free to let us know if there is anything in particular you would like to see and we will do what we can to bring it to you. Our families will always be at the heart of everything we do and we welcome feedback to help us improve. Every penny we receive in donations goes back into the charity to help us continue to provide events and activities. If you are interested in fundraising for us, please get in touch and we will do what we can to support. So whether your child is a sensory seeker, avoider, both or neither - welcome! We hope that you find the support within the group that you are looking for.
