On booking please fill out a description of what advice you are looking for in the notes section so we know in advance what the discussion will be about.
About your mentor
The neurodiverse family support network CIC
celebrating neurodiversity
The neurodiverse family support network (formally Autism in motion) was started back in 2016 by a small group of parents all who themselves have Neurodiverse families, who were frustrated by the lack of support in the area for families like our own. This ‘small group’ has grown steadily over the years and we now have more than 10,000 families from the local and wider area accessing our services either face to face or online on a regular basis.we have now changed our name to the neurodiverse family support network in 2024 We are a positive focused inclusive organisation, offering support, education and fostering peer to peer relationships for neurodiverse children and young people aged 2-25, and their families. Our mission is to celebrate and embrace the unique strengths that each individual who accesses our service brings to our community, whilst also addressing any challenges that they may face with an empathetic and supportive approach. We offer a safe and welcoming space where families can thrive! As a team we are dedicated to empowering and educating, to build a world where neurodiversity is not only accepted but celebrated. We offer a range fun yet therapeutic age-appropriate activities for children and young people, Early Years, primary, secondary and our Moving on group for 16-25. We provide a safe and fun space to come together over the school holidays and afterschool and share fun experiences such as arts and crafts, cookery, sports and outdoor games and yoga. We love nothing more than a day out together as a group and try to have at least 2-3 big days out each year along with smaller regular trips to the cinema, museum etc to ensure the children and young people have the same experiences and opportunities as their neurotypical friends.
