About your mentors
Naturezones Wildlife Education Trust
Connecting with Nature
Naturezones Wildlife Education Trust (NWET) is a wildlife field study centre and a Living Natural History Museum. It is a “not for profit “ organisation dedicated to education in the importance of sustaining and creating wildlife habitats as part of the Island's ecology and to increasing Biodiversity and the environment. We provide training in nature conservation for all ages and wonderful outdoor opportunities to do voluntary work. A person's health and wellbeing is integral to all of our activities. More importantly is to understand that the wellbeing of our planet is crucial to the wellbeing of the human race. .

IMPORTANT PleaseRead
This session is suitable for children who do not need one to one or additional support and can manage in a setting with a typical ratio of one supervising adult per 8 children. There was an error in the original listing - we do not provide SEND support. For their own safety, children need to stay with the group at all times. The Club will take place whatever the weather so please dress suitably. There is an indoor classroom but we are likely to spend time outside even if it is raining. Children should wear long sleeves and trousers, and sturdy shoes or boots (no shorts or sandals). They should bring a raincoat and a sun hat. Please don’t send them in expensive or precious clothing as we tend to get messy, and children occasionally misplace belongings. Valuables, including mobile phones, handheld computer games or similar are not appropriate for this natural environment. Sun cream should be applied before they get here, and they should take any medication (including for hayfever). There are many nut trees at the site, particularly hazel, so nuts are unavoidable. We are not able to give children any medicine except for sting/bite spray. If your child needs medicine during the session times, please arrange for a named adult to come and give it to them. At Naturezones, we welcome good behaviour and respect for wildlife.
