What inspires me
Sewing allows you to express your creativity and personal style through the fabrics, colours and designs you choose. This can be incredibly rewarding and empowering, helping to build confidence and a sense of self. By sewing your own clothes and accessories, you can reduce your reliance on fast fashion and contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle. This can also be a great way to upcycle old clothes and reduce waste. At Moda Fashion Club, we’re dedicated to creating a space that embraces creativity, celebrates diversity, and builds a strong sense of community here in Brighton. Fashion knows no boundaries, and our classes are designed to empower non-binary individuals and everyone else to express themselves authentically. Together, we’re redefining what it means to belong in the world of fashion—where every story and every style is embraced. We will guide you to expand your creativity and gain confidence when creating your own unique designs. Sewing skills will develop gradually and if you already have sewing knowledge, you will be sewing with lots of confidence, so you can make clothes that can’t be found anywhere else and express your personality through what you wear.
About your mentor

I was born in Spain and moved to England more than 20 years ago. I first fall in love with Fashion when I was 15 customising my mum's clothes until I gained a degree in Fashion in the UK. Moda Fashion Club classes for adults and children are placed at the House of Culture in Brighton. After school clubs are placed in schools around Brighton and Hove.
Stitching Dreams into Reality
These sewing and fashion design classes for adults are designed for absolute beginners as well as those with some basic experience who would like to build confidence and improve their skills. You will learn how to create your own clothing and accessories while understanding the essential elements of fashion design, including measuring, cutting fabric, working with patterns, and using a sewing machine. We will start with simple, achievable projects to understand fabrics, stitching techniques, and construction methods. As confidence grows, you will gradually learn to use a sewing machine safely and effectively, working with tools such as pins, scissors, and patterns. The classes will guide you through the full creative process, from idea to finished garment, allowing you to create pieces such as skirts, tops, dresses, and many other wearable items. This class is ideal for adults who: -Have little to no sewing machine experience (you will be guided step by step) -Enjoy creativity and are interested in fashion and garment-making -Would like to learn how to follow and adapt sewing patterns -Want a relaxed, supportive environment to learn a new skill Materials/Fabrics: Some basic materials and practice fabrics will be provided. For larger personal projects, students will purchase their own fabric, with plenty of notice given in advance.

No refunds are given except in the case of a cancellation by the Mentor.If a student misses one of the classes I will do my best to give them any materials or give them any instructions to catch up with the projects
