Join us for an exciting opportunity to engage in teen archery sessions for ages 11-16, held at Millom Recreation Centre and organised by Sportivos. Participants will use plastic arrows, ensuring a safe and fun environment to learn the fundamentals of archery. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, these sessions will focus on technique, accuracy, and the importance of focus and concentration. Our experienced coaches will guide each participant through the basics of stance, aim, and release, making sure everyone receives individual attention in a supportive atmosphere. Not only will teens develop their archery skills, but they will also enjoy the chance to make new friends and build confidence in their abilities. Our archery sessions are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, combining skill development with engaging activities. Each session will cover essential aspects of archery, including proper technique, equipment handling, and safety precautions. Participants will take part in various target practice exercises that not only improve accuracy but also enhance hand-eye coordination and focus. Learning aims
Aim 1
Skill Development: Participants will develop essential archery skills including stance, aim, draw, and release, focusing on improving accuracy and consistency.
Aim 3
Concentration and Focus: Archery encourages mental discipline; participants will learn techniques to enhance their concentration & focus during practice and competitions.
Aim 5
Confidence Building: Through individual progress and achievement, participants will build self-confidence as they see improvement in their abilities and gain new skills.
Aim 2
Safety Awareness: Sessions will emphasise safety protocols when handling equipment and shooting, ensuring participants understand how to practice archery responsibly.
Aim 4
Teamwork & Communication: archery is an individual sport, sessions will incorporate team activities that promote communication skills & camaraderie among participants.
