When you arriveWhen you arrive in Cwm Penmachno I’ll do a kit list check, and check everyone is up for some fun! Check we all have food, drink and happy faces! There will be a chance to buy extra food and drink supplies in the village before we start walking. We will meet at swallow falls cafe, pentrefoelas, LL24 0PN at 1pm. We can then go in convoy to Cwm Penmachno.
We aim to be back by 3pm on the Sunday, however this is flexible and weather dependant.
In case of very high winds the location may change slightly, but meeting point will stay the same.
If you are booking for 2025, an email will be sent to you in January with itinerary and kit list.
I’ll also create a WhatsApp group.
Wild camp in WalesEver wanted to camp under the stars in the mountains? Now's your chance! This is suitable for beginners and seasoned wild campers. You will need a good level of fitness as the hike will be hard and hilly and be able to carry all your kit. Along the walk you will see old mining villages and workings and hear some interesting history about Welsh mining.
We always have fun on Love her Wild adventures and great friendships and memories are made!
The area we will be visiting also has the famous Welsh mountain railway and skate caverns with zip slides, so why not stay on for a few days afterwards and enjoy what the area has to offer!
If anyone is really wanting to do this adventure and is struggling for kit for the camp, contact Fran Pearson from Love her wild, she has a mountain of spare equipment! So don’t let this stop you!
