A summary
Join us for a Family Open Day designed for anxious children with SEND. Explore our 20 acre nature-based provision and enjoy arts , bushcraft, gardening and wellbeing activities in a calm, welcoming space. Meet our team, experience our approach and be first to sign up for our summer holiday Wild Heart sessions. A relaxed day to connect, play and discover! At this special open day we will be running a morning and afternoon session: 10:00 -12:30 and 13:00 -15:30. Places are limited so please book to secure your families space. Limitless Futures Wild Hearts sessions aim to: Improve Access to Social Activities through providing: An Inclusive Environment: Our Wild Heart sessions will be designed to be a welcoming and inclusive space, tailored to the needs of neurodivergent, learning disabled and anxious young people. Rather than trying to fit in, participants will feel a sense of belonging through the creation of an environment where they feel understood and supported, these young individuals will have more opportunities to engage in social activities. Trained Staff: Staff members adopt a PACE (Playful, Accepting, Curious and Empathetic) approach and will be trained in neurodivergence, learning disabilities and anxiety awareness, ensuring they can effectively support and engage with participants. This expertise helps in managing any challenges that may arise, making it easier for young people to take part in social activities. Improve Participant Wellbeing through: Building Confidence: Participating in social activities in a supportive environment helps in building self-confidence. As neurodivergent, learning disabled and anxious young people successfully engage in activities and form friendships, their self-esteem and overall sense of wellbeing will improve. Self Care Activities: Wild Hearts will offer wellbeing activities that promote the development of self compassion skills. These skills are essential for improving overall wellbeing and are particularly beneficial for neurodivergent, learning disabled and anxious young people who may struggle in these areas. Stress Reduction: By providing a fun and supportive environment, Wild Hearts can help reduce the stress and anxiety that neurodivergent, learning disabled and anxious young people often experience in traditional social settings. Engaging in enjoyable activities can be a form of stress relief, contributing to better mental health. Positive Experiences: Positive social experiences are crucial for mental health. Wild Hearts will create a space where neurodivergent, learning disabled and anxious young people can have positive interactions, leading to a more positive outlook and improved emotional wellbeing. Family Support: by providing low demand opportunities to take part in activities alongside their children facilitated by others can increase parent-child connection and reduce adult stress.
