Learning aim
Aim 1
The Christmas Holiday Camp is designed to provide children with a fun, supportive environment where they can make new friends, explore exciting new experiences, and stay active during the holiday season. Our goal is to create a space that fosters social connections, builds confidence, and inspires children to embrace healthy, active lifestyles through a variety of enriching activities. Key Objectives Building Social Connections and Friendships Making new friends and learning to connect with others is at the heart of our camp experience. Through group games, collaborative projects, and team-based activities, children will develop communication skills, build trust with their peers, and gain confidence in social settings. By working and playing together, they will also learn important values such as empathy, respect, and the importance of supporting one another. We aim for each child to leave camp having made new friends and developed a sense of belonging, creating a positive social foundation they can carry into their daily lives. Introducing New Experiences and Skills At our camp, children will have the chance to try new activities, which are both fun and enriching. From festive arts and crafts and holiday-themed cooking classes to science experiments and outdoor scavenger hunts, children will explore a wide range of interests. Each day, they will encounter something new, expanding their curiosity and allowing them to discover hidden talents. The goal is to provide a safe environment for children to step out of their comfort zones, engage in creative exploration, and develop a sense of accomplishment as they complete various projects. Encouraging Physical Activity and Wellness Staying active is a key focus of our holiday camp, with daily activities designed to promote physical fitness, coordination, and overall well-being. Children will engage in sports, dance sessions, obstacle courses, and fun outdoor games that keep them moving while they enjoy themselves. These activities are tailored to be inclusive of all skill levels, ensuring that each child feels comfortable and motivated to participate. By making physical activity enjoyable, we hope to encourage a lifelong appreciation for movement and health. Fostering a Positive and Inclusive Environment Our camp is committed to creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and welcome. Camp staff will model positive behavior, encourage kindness, and support each child’s unique strengths and interests. Through structured and free-play time, children will learn to celebrate each other's differences and work collaboratively in a respectful, friendly setting. Outcomes By the end of the camp, children will have developed stronger social skills, formed new friendships, discovered exciting interests, and experienced the joys of an active, healthy lifestyle. Our Christmas Holiday Camp aims to leave children with lasting memories, newfound confidence, and a sense of joy that carries beyond the holiday season.
