A summary
A chance to explore all things music in a safe environment. You can make sounds with lots of different instruments with music therapist Yair Katz. Understand sounds and what you as a person respond to. This is not technical learning, but rather you getting to know what you like and feel drawn to. You don't have to play an instrument, but at the end of the course you may have found an instrument you like and we can help you continue. Andy Mersh will lead on songwriting. He runs our very successful musical theatre songwriting courses. This is a great team effort and very inclusive with everyone inputting something to make a story and a song. Working with artist Lorna Crabbe you will create pieces of food art, which you can eat later. ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Andy Mersh is a charismatic and joyful Silverdale Primary teacher and guitar teacher. Yair Katz is a music therapist and songwriter Lorna Crabbe is a local artist working with Jack in the Green
