A summary
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net. It couldn’t be easier to have a go at Pickleball and discover for yourself just how much fun it is! We will provide all equipment that is required. All you need to do is wear comfortable clothing. Trainers/tennis shoes are recommended. Pickleball is such an inclusive sport, anyone can play it! Come and join us for FREE Pickleball sessions. Spaces are limited to booking is essential. We are running 2 FREE sessions every Saturday at Hastings Academy - Session 1 - 10am-11am Session 2 - 11am-12noon These FREE sessions are available to anyone over the age of 5 years old* * Children need to be accompanied by an adult, the adult does not need to get involved if they do not want too, but they would be required to spectate the session, due to safeguarding and staffing. ** Please note there will be no sessions on Sat 1st and 8th March due to GCSE Mock exams in the hall **

Play Sport UK is an exciting new company encouraging participation in sports for all, regardless of age or ability, through the provision of sporting facilities, accessible to everyone. There are thousands of sports facilities lying dormant for long periods of time in the UK. Sports halls, football pitches, netball courts, tennis courts, and much more that are owned by schools, are being under-utilised. Most are not used in the evenings, or at the weekends. Yet we often hear that there are not enough sports facilities available. Play Sport UK plan on changing this! With our facilities management programme, the facilities will become available to clubs and sports teams. And the schools will generate extra revenue!
