What we'll do
These sessions are all about getting outside and experiencing nature. We will enjoy cooking outdoors, going on nature walks, playing games, building shelters, making art, being creative, finding things and exploring. Being outside is the focus of the session. WEEK ONE - The Sower Craft area - Use a variety of natural materials to make your own keep sake bookmarks. Reflection - Find out about the Sower and the plants he grew. Nature - Make your own wildflower seed bombs ready for our own growing at home. Campfire - Have a go at Campfire Quesadillas. Explore - Wide games, slack lines and blindfolded trust trails. WEEK TWO - The Mustard Seed Craft area - Have you ever knitted with your fingers? Give it a go and see what you can create. Reflection - How big is a mustard tree? Nature - Clay art using materials in the woodland. Campfire - Make your own hot dogs in bread twists. Explore - Can you team take the lead in the navigation challenge? Breakfast, snacks and lunch are provided. The team include teachers, teaching assistants, youth works and sports coaches. Come ready to get outside, be active, and creative, with our team, so that you are active and healthy this summer. Activities are subject to change.

Emma
Pioneer Pastor
I am the Pioneer Pastor for Hope Church, a lively Methodist Church based in Loftus. I am also a secondary school teacher, with 25 years experience, of teaching a range of humanities subjects including Geography and RE. In my spare time, I am a qualified netball coach and coach nearby Grangetown Netball Club in their under 16s and under 19s sections. I have been a Guide leader for almost 30 years, and have a range of experience from this in the outdoors, learning new skills and camping and more. I love seeing children and young people learn new skills, feel supported, at home, and loving the activities we put on. I enjoy demonstrating the love of Christ in what I do, and sharing my faith. I can't wait to be part of these events, and have the joy of leading a great team delivering high quality activities to local children and young people.
