A summary
This day will offer two different Experiences ... 1) Immersive, cutting-edge gaming offering a glimpse into the professional world of Esports! 2) Playing basketball and other sports at the Westwood Games Hall! Alongside the sports action, kids will gain valuable insights into nutrition and well-being, making these experience days a perfect blend of physical activity and personal growth. Day Outline: 10.00 - Arrive at Rootes Building on Warwick University for registration 10.15 - Welcome and introduction to the day 10.30 - Group 1 in ESports Centre -- Group 2 - Outdoor Games 11.30 - Group 2 ESports Gaming Session; Group 1 - Outdoor Games 12.30 - Both groups enjoying a hot meal together in the Rootes Building (or outdoors if weather is nice!) Well-Being and nutrition education led by GB 13.00 - Brief Workshop from Changemakers 13.30 - Walk to Westwood Games Hall (20 min) 14.00 - Warwickshire Institute of Sport presentation 14.15-15.30 - Sports Session in the Games Hall 15.30 - All Participants Depart from the Westwood Games Hall (CV4 8GL) *Free parking (15 minute maximum!) is available at the Westwood Campus car park 12 off Kirby Corner Road CV4 8GL, which is next to the Westwood Games Hall. What to Wear and What to Bring? If you have a Guardian Ballers T-shirt, PLEASE WEAR IT! If you've never participated in a GB programme and do not have a T-shirt, we will give you one. Wear trainers and clothing to participate in sport/games. Please bring a water bottle which we can refill on site.

BALL - BE - BETTER
We empower young people through engagement in Basketball [BALL] activities, education around mental-and-emotional wellbeing and identity [BE] and facilitation of practical experiences to serve local communities and charitable organisations [BETTER]. We work with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicities backgrounds and a minimum of half of our participants are Female. We target such populations (not excluding others) to tackle disparities in mental health, physical activity and societal-leadership statistics.
