A summary
Our sessions at East Cleveland Basketball Club are all about fun, energy, and getting everyone involved in the game of basketball! Open to boys and girls of all abilities, each session blends skill-building with laughter and teamwork. From exciting warm-up games to action-packed drills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and mini matches — there’s never a dull moment. Everyone gets plenty of time on the ball, and most importantly, a chance to fall in love with the game of Basketball. As an added bonus at our Summer programme, we will be selecting ten lucky participants from each of our venues to attend a very special final week at Skelton Youth Centre. Transport will be provided to and from your venue free of charge. All children who attend will receive an extra two days of coaching and take part in a tournament on the final day, with trophies to be won! All children will receive a participation medal and celebrate with a party afterwards along with their peers. Dates for the final invitational week are - August 19th 10:00 - 14:00 - August 20th 10:00 - 14:00 - August 21st 12:30 - 16:30 Children invited to the final week will be informed at the last session of their regular venue. PLEASE NOTE: ALL NON-FUNDED PLACES DO NOT INCLUDE LUNCH, YOUR CHILD WILL NEED TO BRING A PACKED LUNCH WITH THEM

East Cleveland Basketball Club is a basketball organisation based in Teesside, UK With players coming from across the region—Redcar, Guisborough, Eston, Thornaby, Stockton, Saltburn, Darlington, Skelton under the club’s diverse community spirit. Offering accessible basketball pathways, from beginner-friendly programs to competitive NBL teams. In short, East Cleveland Basketball Club is a community-rooted, multi-team organisation bridging grassroots participation with competitive ambition—championing inclusivity, youth development, and a stepping-stone to the NBL.

I have coached basketball for 20+years, in a variety of settings from primary, secondary schools to Colleges and Youth clubs as well as Teams. I have also played at National league D1 Level for many years as well as the rest of the National league divisions down to U18's. I am grateful to be able to pass on the knowledge and experience I have gained over the many years of coaching and playing to the new and upcoming players at East Cleveland

I've have coached youth basketball for over 18 years. Working with young people of all ages and abilities across the country. I played Division 1 National League Basketball for a long time and enjoy being able to pass on my knowledge to new players. I'm the Head Coach of East Cleveland Basketball Club.
Does my child need to bring anything?
Simply wear appropriate sports clothing and bring plenty to drink. We provide snacks throughout the day as well as a high quality healthy meal provided by 'The Tiny Kitchen' that exceeds school meal standards.

My child has never played before, is that okay?
Absolutely! Sessions are suitable for any ability level, with multiple coaches on site to ensure we can tailor any activities further as required. As a club we work with young people from seven years old to sixteen and provide ample opportunities for all.
