Come along to experience the David Lloyd Centre, one of the area's premium health and wellness clubs! The David Lloyd Experience Day with Guardian Ballers will be packed with energy and enrichment, combining sports and learning in a high-quality fitness environment. Young participants will use state of the art equipment, racquet sports and a meal in the restaurant. 10.00 - 10.15 Young people meet at DL, registered with GB before entering reception 10.15 - 10.30 Brief introduction to David Lloyd 10.30 - 11.45 David Lloyd Activity 1 Taster* [Participants choose lunch], bags into secure location] *Taster sessions will likely be Blaze (incl Boxing) then Cyclone or Racquet sport [Tennis, badminton, Pickleball] (all potential activity Risk Assessments shared). 11.45 - 12.15 - Well-Being and Nutrition Educational discussion 12.15 - 13.00 - Hot Lunch in the David Lloyd Restaurant! 13:15 - 14.30 David Lloyd Round 2 Taster sessions; groups swap activities 14.30 - Group Reflection and photos 15.00 Participants Depart David Lloyd Join us for an active, educational and fun-filled day in a premium health and wellness club! What to Wear and What to Bring? If you have a Guardian Ballers T-shirt, PLEASE WEAR IT! If you've never participated in a GB programme and do not have a T-shirt, we will give you one. Wear trainers and clothing to participate in sport/games. Please bring a water bottle which we can refill on site.

BALL, BE, BETTER
We empower young people through engagement in Basketball [BALL] activities, education around mental-and-emotional wellbeing and identity [BE] and facilitation of practical experiences to serve local communities and charitable organisations [BETTER]. We work with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicities backgrounds and a minimum of half of our participants are Female. We target such populations (not excluding others) to tackle disparities in mental health, physical activity and societal-leadership statistics.
