A summary
Easter HAF Project 2026 is a creative holiday programme funded by the HAF Activities Fund. It will run during the Easter holidays from 30 March – 10 April and offers young people the chance to take part in fun, music and creative activities in a welcoming environment. No previous experience is needed and all materials and resources will be provided during the sessions. The Easter HAF Project 2026 provides FREE creative sessions for young people, where participants can explore beatmaking, songwriting, dancing, content creation and interactive games in a fun and supportive space. Young people will have the chance to learn new skills, express themselves through music and movement, and work together creatively. Food will be provided each day, and all equipment and resources will be available during the sessions. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

Beatsabar Music Project is equipped with two recording studios and a rehearsal space. We offer enrichment activities to young people facing complicated situations, host music-based workshops for various age groups and abilities during holidays, and provide commercial bookings for professional recording artists. Over the past 10 ½ years, Beatsabar has been a prominent community recording studio in Wolverhampton, collaborating with schools, PRUs, youth intervention groups, charities and probation services. We've played a vital role in helping talented individuals acquire new skills, training, and employment opportunities.
Timetable
Example Daily Timetable – Easter HAF Project 10:00 – 10:30 Arrival & Movement Warm-Up Sign-in, icebreakers, dance and light movement activities to energise the group and start the day. 10:30 – 11:15 Beat Making Session Young people learn how to create beats using music software, drum pads or apps while experimenting with rhythm and sound. 11:15 – 12:00 Songwriting Workshop Participants develop lyrics, hooks and ideas while working together to create their own songs. 12:00 – 12:30 Lunch Break Food provided. 12:30 – 13:15 Audio Recording Session Participants record vocals and spoken word over the beats they have created. 13:15 – 14:00 Content Creation Filming performances, creating short videos, behind-the-scenes clips and documenting the creative process. 14:00 – 14:30 Games & Dance Interactive group games, movement activities and freestyle dance. 14:30 – 15:00 Showcase & Reflection Listening back to recordings, sharing creations and reflecting on the day before pick-up.

Aim 1
Develop Music Creation Skills Participants will learn the basics of beat making and understand how rhythm, samples and sound can be combined to create their own music.

Learn Audio Recording Techniques Participants will understand the fundamentals of audio recording, including how to record vocals and work with simple music production
Aim 2
Explore Songwriting and Creative Expression Young people will gain confidence in writing lyrics, developing ideas and expressing their thoughts and creativity through music
Aim 4
Build Confidence, Teamwork and Communication Through group activities, games and collaborative creative tasks, participants will develop teamwork skills and confidence
