Class F&Q
1. What is the Book Journaling Club? The Book Journaling Club is a fun and creative program designed for children aged 6–11, where they will explore the world of books through journaling. Kids will read stories, reflect on what they've read, and then create their own personalized book journals filled with drawings, thoughts, and summaries. 2. What will my child learn in this club? Your child will: - Develop critical thinking skills by reflecting on the books they read. - Improve their writing abilities through journaling activities such as summaries, quotes, and personal reflections. - Get creative by incorporating drawings, illustrations, and other visual elements into their journals. - Build a love for reading and explore various genres of literature. 3. Do children need to be advanced readers to join? No! The club is open to all reading levels. The books selected for the program will cater to a wide range of abilities, and our instructors will ensure that every child feels comfortable and engaged, regardless of their reading experience. 4. What materials will my child need? We provide most of the materials, including journals, pens, and other creative supplies. If your child would like to bring personal materials like stickers or colored pencils to add to their journal, they are welcome to do so. 5. How are the sessions structured? Each session includes a reading component, followed by activities where children reflect on and respond to the book through journaling. This might include writing summaries, drawing scenes, or creating character sketches. There will also be group discussions to share ideas and thoughts with peers. 6. Who will be leading the club? The Book Journaling Club is led by experienced educators and literature enthusiasts who are passionate about reading and creativity. They will guide the children through reading exercises and journaling techniques in a fun and supportive way. We look forward to having your child join the Book Journaling Club, where they will enjoy reading, reflecting, and creating in a fun and interactive environment!
